The
webFRIS application stores stand level data for a
variety of products and species. The flexibility of the database
structure promotes unique configuration so that we can accommodate
the inventory requirements of each customer. webFRIS
allows users with the appropriate privileges to modify inventory
through manual data entry or in bulk fashion through a batch
processing tool. All spatial and tabular changes occur in
real-time via the web.
webFRIS
enforces business logic rules associated with inventory. Clear-cut
and thinning activities automatically adjust stand level inventory
based on a user-defined harvest method. Removal and residual
volumes are maintained and easily tracked trhough the Query
& Reports module.
Sewall's
proprietary Timber Inventory System (TIS) provides for easy
upload of processed field data directly into webFRIS.
Using the TIS, a user can prcess field data into stand level
volumes, evaluate the results through customized reports,
and then upload those volumes directly into the webFRIS
database. The interaction between the two systems ensures
timely access to inventory data.
