webFRIS
provides access to digital ortho quarter quads (DOQQs) and
digital raster graphic (DRG) imagery for the entire U.S. The
imagery is provided by Globe Explorer and available on demand
through web mapping services technology. On-line access to
imagery eliminates the need to store large image files locally.
Distribution of imagery is no longer an issue because everyone
in your organization has access to imagery in real time.
In addition
to the imagery provided by Globe Explorer, webFRIS
allows users to store custom imagery on a mapping server hosted
by Sewall or on a web mapping server hosted by the client.
Both options provide end users with immediate access to imagery
via the web.
Metadata
is also stored and easily accessible to users.
