Land Ownership and Mill Location Maps

OWNERSHIP MAPS
To provide our clients with current information on forestland ownership, Sewall produces Ownership Maps in both hard-copy and digital formats. The maps, which color code the properties of major landholders, cover the New England states of Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont; northern New York; southern Quebec; and the Maritime Provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. Other ownerships are identified and coded as a separate category. Maps of northern New England are available at 14 miles per inch; the Maine map is available at 7 miles per inch.

GIS OWNERSHIP DATABASE
For licensed purchase, Sewall also offers a digital geographic information system (GIS) ownership database, which contains locational information on close to 300 owners of land within the same geographic areas. The user can access information on individual ownerships or sort data by five general ownership classes, including industrial, nonindustrial, federal, state, and Indian trust lands. To meet individual client needs, Sewall also provides ownership information and mapping on specific areas.

MILL LOCATION MAPS
Sewall also produces current Mill Location Maps with a companion Mill Owner List. With coverage of the same New England states and Maritime Provinces as the Ownership Maps, the Mill Location Maps identify pulp mills, sawmills, OSB plants, biomass facilities, and other primary processors and concentration yards. In addition, these maps display major road and railway transportation routes.

GIS MILL FACILITIES DATABASE
For the forest products industry and major timberland owners, Sewall offers a comprehensive GIS database of the primary processing facilities in the United States. With this powerful tool, the user is able to generate reports and perform data analysis. To meet individual clients' needs, Sewall tailors mill information to specific mill types and specific locations on request.
