for Massachusetts Communities

W. Sewall Company and NSTAR Electric & Gas Corporation are
pleased to offer
GIS core data at significant cost savings to selected
communities in Massachusetts. A highly accurate product, this
data set can be used to develop digital orthophotography, full
planimetric mapping, and topographic contours for GIS integration.
As part of the data sharing program, Sewall is offering assistance
to communities with limited free GIS consulting support, data
hosting, and ESRI ArcIMS Internet mapping services, using Sewall's
interface
for online data distribution. As a corporate consultant business
partner with ESRI, Sewall is making the data available in ESRI's
Geodatabase format.
To assist towns in the purchase of the NSTAR GIS data set and
additional products, Sewall and Banknorth Leasing Corp. of Portland,
Maine, have arranged a municipal lease/purchase
plan that will allow towns to amortize the cost over three
years at a 3.5 percent simple interest rate.
In
conjunction with NSTAR and ESRI, Sewall conducted three seminars
on the program this spring in Plymouth, Yarmouth, and New Bedford.
